Creating a supportive and exciting sailing community for all ages and abilities.

About Our Club

WWYSA Club

Founded in 1967, WWYSA is passionate about introducing children and teenagers to the world of sailing, offering a range of training and competitive opportunities. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps on the water or an experienced sailor looking to improve your technique, WWYSA is here to help you reach your full potential.

Our team of qualified instructors and volunteers are committed to safety, skill development, and fun. Through structured lessons, group sailing events, and competitions, we aim to nurture not just technical ability but also teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship—skills that will serve our sailors both on and off the water.

At WWYSA, we believe in making sailing accessible to all, regardless of experience or background. Our programs cater to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring every sailor has the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive and friendly environment.

Our Trustees

At WWYSA, our trustees play a crucial role in guiding and supporting our club. They are responsible for ensuring that we remain true to our mission, make strategic decisions, and uphold our values. Acting as the final point of accountability, they oversee our activities and safeguard our assets, all while promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for all our members.

Our Membership Pricing

Membership at our sailing club is designed to be affordable, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to get out on the water. As a non-profit organisation, we work hard to keep costs low while maintaining excellent facilities and equipment. Membership is required to access the club and take part in activities, providing great value for those who want to sail regularly. We also offer a range of courses, including our popular RYA-affiliated youth sailing programme, helping young sailors develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.
